US1 Women's PremeriershipPics from game 18th April against Glenfield the whole team pumped, and eager to play, think of this team as east coast bays. pushing and shoving, more aggressive than ever, of course we KNOW forrest hill is better! on to the field waiting to start, everyone in position to do their part. candice, stacey and stac strong in the centre, like dee, hayley and macka our mongrel defenders. taylor and katie dominating the wings, the keeper, no chance against tammy tank engine. 2nil up, forrest playing so great, dee's awesome slide sent the ball to the front gate. stac with a black eye, recovery time.. who knows? all shes concerned about is the state of her nose. elise sprinting so fast, putting up a fight, then candices sweet jump, she got some serious height! vic in goal supporting with a scream, annalise blowing her nose, sort've scaring the team.. within 5 minutes, she was on in a flash, skillful as ever, tricking the team with a dash. all of a sudden, we're equal 2 all, but that didn't make anyones head fall. minutes to go, crowd on the edge of their seats, luca yelling, 'play the ball to feet!'. the last bursts of play, everyone trying their best, doing so great but it is time to rest. shaking hands and doing a cheer, the team head back for a communal shower. played extremely well, crowd giving them a clap, see you all on monday, with no CHIT CHAT! :D -By Tash Bracken. PRE-SEASON GAMES FORREST HILL MILFORD -v- West Auckland 21st March 2010 West Auckland were straight into the game with more possession which lead to an early goal, which didn't dampen the hopes of the Forrest ladies as they were down at the end of the first third 1-0. Changes made for Forrest had the girls with a lot better structure and were playing great football, moving the ball around with quick passes and creating some great chances. We eventually found the back of the net after a shot from Tayla O'Brien on the far left wing which stunned the keeper and fell just under the cross-bar to make it tied at 1-1. Both keepers we tested a few times but nothing got through. Injuries still hitting the Forrest ladies which had them struggling to make any substitutions. With a team not 100% fit, West Auckland managed to slip in one last goal, resulting in a 2-1 defeat. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> FORREST HILL MILFORD -v- THREE KINGS UNITED 14th March 2010 |
