Our Women win Pre Season Tournament in thriller

This year's pre-season tournament proved a resounding success with our Premier Women not conceding a goal and making the final against Glenfield who have won this tournament for the last 7 years.

After full time both teams were locked up at nil all with Forrest Hill winning the penalty shootout. It was our first success in this tournament adding another trophy to the cabinet and whilst it is only preseason both teams played their strongest teams with Glenfield including their two new American players.   This was a significant result against a team expected to be the team to beat in 2017.

This outstanding performance ranks right up there with last season's Knockout Cup victory and it's arguable that it's an even better result given that Glenfield were stronger (on paper) this time.

This win came on top of our Women's Reserves beating 3 Kings 3-1, another excellent result.

Whilst it is very early days for this very young squad huge kudos must go to Ben Bate and Liam Quann for the development and investment in these players. Augurs well for the next few years.
